To encourage and train people who want to learn to grow their own fruit and vegetables concentrating on organic/permaculture methods

Project Description: 

Selina and Duncan gave the first 2 hour workshop explaining growing techniques, composts, raised beds, simple permaculture ideas.

Demonstrations and Starter kits to take away. Refreshments, chat and good company.

Session One March 29th.
Preparing Growing Beds-Demonstration sowing broad beans and planting potatoes.
Sowing seeds to take away including tomato plants.

Session Two May 10th
Sowing a variety of summer seeds to take away. Plant maintenance.

Session Three June 7th
Cane tepees for runner beans. Planting out. Plant maintenance.

Inspiration: 
Gardener's World
Outcomes so far: 
about 20 people attended first event - gave away coir compost/planting charts/home made manure. Everyone seemed to think it was worthwhile.
Unexpected outcomes: 
Lots of networking - ideas and enthusiasm on other themes. 2 hours in the sun.
